Pixel Perfect Collisions adds precise, per-pixel collision control to RPG Maker MZ, allowing you to define exactly where players and events can move on a tile, down to individual pixels.
Instead of relying on broad passability rules or full-tile blockers, this plugin lets you sculpt collision shapes that match your artwork and level design. Tight spaces, angled walls, furniture edges, door frames, and decorative details can finally behave exactly the way they look.
Precise Collision Editing
Create custom collision shapes directly in-game using a visual editor. Draw collision areas by placing points around the shape you want blocked, and the plugin automatically generates clean, optimized collision geometry from your design.
Each tile can have its own unique collision shape, allowing for far more nuanced movement than standard passability flags. Players can move naturally around corners, hug walls, and navigate detailed interiors without awkward snapping or invisible barriers.
Visual, In-Game Workflow
No external tools or spreadsheets required. Collision editing happens inside the game itself, using a dedicated editor scene with live tile previews. You can immediately see how collision shapes align with the actual tile graphics you’re working with.
Edits are saved cleanly and loaded automatically at runtime.
Player Collider Customization
In addition to tile collisions, the plugin includes a visual editor for the player’s collision box. Adjust size and offsets interactively to better match your character sprites, animations, and proportions.
This is especially useful for games with large sprites, non-standard character sizes, or custom movement systems.
Optimized and Runtime-Safe
Collision data is converted into efficient collision rectangles at runtime, keeping performance smooth even on large maps. Tiny stray pixels are automatically filtered out to prevent invisible blockers or micro-collisions.
