Add real strategy to item collection with zero setup.

Give your players a reason to think twice before looting everything in sight. The Weighted Inventory System transforms your game’s item collection into a strategic and immersive experience for both RPG Maker MZ and MV with effortless setup.

🔌 Plug-and-Play Simplicity

This plugin is built for creators who want results fast. No code. No events. No guesswork.

Just install, tag your items with weight values (or skip tagging for weightless items), and the system takes care of the rest. Default settings are ready to use, making it easy to integrate into both new and existing projects in either MZ or MV.

🎒 Real-Time Inventory Weight Limits

Every item in your database can have a custom weight, and the party has a carrying limit. As players explore and collect loot, the plugin tracks weight in the background and caps their inventory when it is full. You control:

  • How much the party can carry

  • Which items matter (or do not)

  • The consequences of carrying too much

Perfect for survival games, dungeon crawlers, or any game where loot has value.

📊 Clean, Customizable Inventory HUD

The Item scene features a HUD window that shows the player’s current inventory weight, max capacity, and unit type (lbs, kg, stones, or custom).

This helps players make decisions without digging through menus. You can make it semi-transparent, hide it in cutscenes, or position it where you want using plugin parameters.

🔔 Smart On-Screen Warnings

No setup is required. The plugin displays messages when:

  • The player is approaching max capacity (with customizable “nearly full” text)

  • The player is at or over the weight limit and tries to collect more

These messages appear automatically in both gameplay and inventory screens and disappear after a short delay. You can also choose to remove the window background for a cleaner look.

🧪 Use + 🧹 Trash: Clean Item Interaction for All Items

Every item in the inventory, whether consumable, equipment, material, or key item, opens a smooth two-option menu when selected:

  • Use: Applies the RPG Maker effect if the item has one (such as healing an actor)

  • Trash: Instantly deletes one unit of that item, freeing up weight

Players can manage their packs quickly and naturally without clutter or frustration.

🧰 In-Game Bag Upgrades (Plugin Command Included)

You can make the player’s inventory grow over time.

Use the built-in plugin command to increase or decrease max carrying capacity at any point in your game. This works well for:

  • Buying larger backpacks from shops

  • Gaining bonuses through story progression

  • Temporary boosts during quests

🎨 Built to Fit Any World

  • Survival RPGs with limited scavenging

  • Tactical games with gear loadouts

  • Story-driven games where rare loot must be chosen carefully

Weighted Inventory System adds tension, realism, and player choice to both MZ and MV.

⚙️ Everything You Can Customize (Without Code)

  • Warning threshold for “nearly full”
